Theresa is the Executive Director of Cato Management, LLC, based in Charlotte, NC. The company manages the family’s assets, primarily comprised of real estate and marketable securities. Theresa oversees all operations of the company, including the management and investment of assets, as well as financial and estate planning. She is a member of the Company’s Board of Advisors, a Co-Trustee and Advisory Committee member of the family trusts, and Co-Trustee of the private Foundation.
Prior to joining Cato Management, she served as Corporate Treasurer and Director of Investor Relations of The Cato Corporation, a publicly held women’s apparel retail company. Before Cato, she was a tax associate with Coopers & Lybrand in Charlotte.
Theresa graduated from University of South Carolina (Coastal Carolina) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive), a Certified Financial Planner (inactive) and a NC real estate broker license (inactive).
Theresa is a member of the Board of Visitors of the Wall College of Business at Coastal Carolina University, an Executive Board member of Carolinas Family Office Forum based in Chapel Hill, and a Board member of Flagship Healthcare Trust.
